Single Leg Stretch        Be certain to warm up before exercising. Read these important cautions
STARTING POSITION
Lie on your back with upper body flexed off the mat, imprinted position. Legs should be in tabletop position, hands resting against the outside of each leg with scapulae stabilized.
EXERCISE
To prepare, INHALE then...

EXHALE roll forward, maintaining C-curve with weight back of sit-bones; slide scapulae down back and lengthen thoracic spine, maintaining lumbar flexion, and return to starting position. Legs and torso create V shape.

INHALE begin to switch legs and hands.

EXHALE fully extend other leg, changing hands to the bent leg.

INHALE begin to switch legs.

Complete 8-10 repetitions
FOCUS
Ensure engagement of the transversus abdominis throughout the exercise to keep abdominals flat.

Use vasti muscles to pull patella up as knee extends.

Extend leg only as low as pelvic stability can be maintained.

Stabilize scapulae to avoid neck tension.

Avoid gripping hip flexors.
