Workshop Sessions

Friday, April 17

10:30-12pm

Essential Reformer
This interactive workshop teaches participants select exercises from the STOTT PILATES Essential Reformer repertoire with emphasis on the goals of the exercises, movement patterns, breath patterns and alignment.

1:30-3pm

Jumpboard Interval Training, Level 1
Learn to challenge and motivate your clients and classes using innovative and simple Jumpboard combinations, separated with intervals of upper and lower body strength and flexibility exercises on the Reformer. This ultimate cardio/strength interval class, challenges the core, and total body strength, elevates the heart rate, while focusing on proper jumping technique. This new format keeps clients and classes on the move.

3:30-5pm

 

Mini Flex-Ball™ Workout
This energizing workout incorporates the 12-inch Mini Flex-Ball™ to create total-body strengthening and conditioning. The exercises will work on improving posture with a major focus on core stability and back mobility while also lengthening and strengthening the surrounding muscles. Keeping in mind the elements of the STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles, participants will learn how to add variety and fun to traditional Matwork routines.

Saturday, April 18

8-9am

Ultimate Body Sculpting
This workshop teaches intermediate-level exercises to challenge core and peripheral strength, and add variety and multi-dimensional joint movements to the basic Flex-Band® exerciser routine. Emphasis is on upper and lower body working together while maintaining correct alignment and form.

9:30-11am

Essential Reformer
This interactive workshop teaches participants select exercises from the STOTT PILATES Essential Reformer repertoire with emphasis on the goals of the exercises, movement patterns, breath patterns and alignment.

1:30-3pm

 

Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer
Learn to take your clients’ game to the next level in this sports conditioning workshop. Improve strength, power and agility through new variations of familiar exercises that challenge unilateral movement, weight transference and core stability. With a special focus on the core, arms, legs, shoulders and hips as well as rotation, learn a format on the Reformer perfect for your sports enthusiast clients and athletes of all levels.

3:30-4:30pm   Pilates on a Roll: Foam Roller, Level 1
This workshop incorporates a Foam Roller into exercises adapted from both the Matwork and Reformer repertoires. Participants learn how the roller targets core stabilizers, cues alignment and challenges strength through the periphery and core.

Sunday, April 19

8:30-10am

Meet Our Presenter

Michael Christensen
Michael is co-owner and CEO of the STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center in Denmark and travels regularly to the U.K. to teach and present the method. A professional ballet and modern dancer in the early 1990s, Michael has been using Pilates as a part of his training regime for many years. He is a qualified physical education teacher who has now streamlined his focus to share his knowledge of STOTT PILATES with instructors all over the world.
