SAN DIEGO, June 28, 2002
STOTT PILATES will offer a sneak preview of their latest fitness innovation at the World Fitness
IDEA trade show, June 29 to July 2, 2202, at the Dan Diego Convention Center. The new Rack & Roll
Reformer provides all the versatility, precision and craftsmanship of the company’s best-selling
"Professional" model in a streamlined, space-saving, stackable design. Now clubs, clinics and
studios with limited floor space can offer private or small-group Reformer-based programming without compromising
on equipment quality or dedicating a permanent area to equipment. STOTT’s new Reformers can be rolled in
for a session and then quickly racked up and out-of-the-way.
"Weve received incredible demand over the past several years, from facility owners and
instructors alike, to manufacture a high quality Reformer that would accommodate both space constraints
and performance demands," says Lindsay Merrithew, the President and C.E.O of STOTT PILATES, who
plays a hands-on role in the companys equipment manufacturing. "In responding to this demand, we
took our time in research and development to engineer a sleek, safe and fully adjustable Reformer that is both
durable and stackable."
With a list price of U.S. $2,395, the Rack & Roll Reformer is a bed-like apparatus with a gliding
carriage platform employing spring resistance and a unique rope-and-pulley system to facilitate
more than 100 STOTT PILATES stretch and strength exercises. The Reformer provides progressive resistance
to enhance neuromuscular function, challenge core stability and improve flexibility without impacting the
joints. Exercises can be performed in a sitting, lying, kneeling and even standing position to achieve a
total mind-body workout.
"Facilities can now choose from a variety of Reformer models to meet their programming and business
needs," adds Merrithew. "With the Rack & Roll, one can offer personal training sessions or
small group classes on the Reformers by rolling them into a multi-purpose room when needed, and stacking them
off to the side when not. Its a practical, profitable solution."

Geared towards fitness professionals, athletic trainers, physical therapists and avid home users, the full
size Rack & Roll Reformer can be used by exercisers of any size or ability level. Like all
STOTT PILATES Reformers, the Rack & Roll has a patented whisper-smooth rolling mechanism that
ensures superior carriage travel and safety, and has adjustable gear bar, carriage stopping mechanism,
footbar and pulley heights. It can also accommodate a jump board and rotational disk board for high
performance exercises and post rehabilitation. The carriage is padded with dense evazote (EVA) foam and covered
with high quality vinyl (available in 85 colors) to maximize comfort and minimize wear. STOTT springs
are nickel-plated and heat-treated to guarantee tension quality and integrity. The 120-pound, 15-1/2-inch high
unit can be set up or folded down in less than a minute, then easily stacks away for convenient storage.
Easy-roll wheels make it simple to move or reposition the Reformer, and a custom dolly allows users to roll
a full stack of five out of the way. All STOTT PILATES Reformers are accompanied by a 5-year limited
warranty.
