STOTT PILATES

A note to all Certified Instructors regarding recently mailed CEC letters

STOTT PILATES has recently sent out CEC letters to all certified instructors informing you of your status for 2004 and 2005 years. To prevent any confusion, we would like to explain how the STOTT PILATES Continuing Education Credit (CEC) program works.

The CEC program works on a point system.
For every continuing education hour completed (i.e., video submission, workshop, repertoire review) you receive 0.1 credit. For example, if you do a three hour workshop it is worth 0.3 CECs.

You must earn 0.6 CECs every calendar year.
This is equivalent to six hours. If your letter states that you have completed 1.0 credits for a given year, you have done 10 hours of CECs, therefore, you have surpassed the 0.6 CECs required and do not need to earn any more. You are in good standing. If your letter states that you have completed 0.3 credits, you have only done three hours and need to complete three more hours to bring your CECs up to date.

If you became certified (successfully completed your exam) or took another course in 2005, you are exempt from earning CECs in 2004 and 2005. Your CEC year will begin January 2006. If you are behind in your 2004 and 2005 CECs, please contact us to request an extension. In order to stay current, you must complete all CECs by December 31, 2006.
