Leg Pull Front

STARTING POSITION
Push-up position, front of body facing mat, one long line, pelvis and spine neutral. Legs straight, together and parallel, weight on balls of feet. Arms straight directly under shoulders, palms down, fingers pointing forward, scapulae/shoulder girdle stabilized.

EXERCISE
INHALE, lift one leg as high as possible while stabilizing pelvis and spine in a neutral position with foot flexed.

EXHALE further flex supporting foot to shift body back in space. Simultaneously point lifted foot, maintaining height of lifted leg.

INHALE
shift body forward in space, returning supporting ankle to starting position, and flex lifted foot.

EXHALE lower leg onto ball of foot, bringing legs together.

Complete 3-6 repetitions on each side, alternating each time.

FOCUS
--
Avoid lifting the pelvis, sinking out of neutral or rotating
-- Use quadricep muscles to pull the patellae or knee caps up
-- Stay wide across shoulder girdle and focus on stabilizing your shoulder blades
-- Maintain cervical spine/neck in neutral, continue line of rest of spine

2. extend one hip
3. shift body back in space
