The Studio
Located in the heart of North Scottsdale, Pilates & Movement Center of Arizona is surrounded by the majestic backdrop of the Sonoran Desert. The studio, minutes from the beautiful Pinnacle Peak and McDowell Mountains, is only 25 minutes from Sky Harbor airport and 10 minutes North of Highway 101 and Hayden Road.
Owners
KIRK LEE and SUSAN SIROTA moved in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2004, where they followed their dream of owning a health and fitness facility and have been successful business owners for the past 6 years. Susan worked on Wall Street for five years before earning a JD with high honors from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law. She practiced commerical and Real Estate Law before discovering her passion for the fitness industry. Kirk has a vast background in health and wellness with a BS in Kinesiology, taught physical education, coached and trained at various schools, was the team trainer for "The Breast Cancer Fund" Climb against All Odds of Alaska's Mt. McKinley and before residing in Arizona, was a Master Trainer in Northern California. Together they share their love and knowledge of health and fitness through providing an extraordinary environment in which their clients can learn and practice the art of well being.
Instructor Trainer
PEGGY STRUBLE is a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor Trainer for Matwork & Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels and Injuries & Special Populations. Formerly a competition ballroom dancer, Peggy especially appreciates STOTT PILATES' focus on core development, balanced musculature, precise movements, and body stabilization. Also certified in Hatha yoga, trained in kinesthetic anatomy, and Masters-degreed in Educational Psychology, Peggy brings multi-dimensional perspecitves to her trainings and the varied learning styles of her students. Above all, Peggy is known for her attention to detail while maintaining a fun, inspiring environment.
CAROLYN GEERLING-GORYL has been working in the health fitness industry for nearly 15 years. She has her BS in Exercise Science from Western MI University. She is also a fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor trainer and AFAA certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She and her husband have lived in Scottsdale since February 2008 with their young son and have a new baby on the way. Carolyn enjoys seeing the benefits and results clients achieve by encouraging them to train in all disciplines of fitness including Pilates (flexibility & core), strength training and cardiovascular exercise.

PREREQUISITES
The intensive courses above are recommended for certified fitness instructors, personal trainers, and other fitness & health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and enhance their business. Applicants must have, at least three years experience teaching fitness, dance or movement, familiarity with the works of Joseph Pilates, formal anatomy training and a working knowledge of muscle origins, insertions and functions, in order to attend the course.

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
